Minutes of Steering Committee
Austin Convocation of Cursillo
Diocese of Texas
May 21, 2000 @ St. George's, Austin.

Joe Nanus opened with prayer.

In attendance were: Steve Ryder, St. Matthew's; Colette Foyt, St. Barnabas; Joe Nanus, St. George's; Anne Browne, St. Richard's; and Fr George Wilson, St. Matthew's.

Joe Nanus moved approval of January minutes as amended. Anne Browne 2nd. Passed.

Colette Foyt reported YTD Income $221, Expenses $150 (Diocese Contribution), Balance $$589.92. George Wilson moved acceptance of Treasurer's report. Anne Browne 2nd. Accepted.

Joe Nanus reported from the Secretariat that volunteers are needed for the Fourth Day Committee (equivalent to the Servant Community found in the NEC Library) which will meet in parallel with the Secretariat. The 2001 Rector's workshop will be Sep 23, 2000. Joe has been selected as Deputy Lay Director for the Secretariat. This means he fills in for the Lay Director in his absence. The Financial Report is troubling, the Cursillo fund balance is only $777.15. This is partially due to deposits to Camp Allen, but is still uncomfortably low. Contributions for Cursillo can be sent directly to the Diocese, or can be given to Colette Foyt. Contributions are 501c3 tax deductible. Team Member cost for Camp Allen Conference Center Weekends has been raised to $160. Anne Browne moved acceptance of report, George Wilson 2nd. Accepted.

Steve committed that for the June mail out with the candidate list, to include a Flyer Style Announcement for the Ultreya posting in the parishes. He will also include a survey asking how communications can be improved.

Fr. George closed the meeting with prayer.
